In One and Only Karla Sorensen brings out all her best for a story that readers will fall in love with.
Taciturn and reserved football star and single dad Beckett Coleman was a man who had a deficient of love his whole life so his daughter's unconditional love was a wonder to him. His focus and intensity were next level carrying over in a meaningful way to those he cared about making him a guy it was hard not to swoon over. Greer Wilder had been surrounded by love her whole life but finding someone to give love to as a partner kept eluding her. Greer kept the pages lively and her fierce and direct approach to life without being overpowering was refreshing to see. The seeming mismatch between Beckham and Greer soon proved to be anything but that as this couple navigated their confused feelings and unexpected connection.
With touching moments and intense emotions this was not a light read, it was about loyalty, kindness and camaraderie that built up to unanticipated love in many different forms. This was a slow burn romance but it was not without heat and the tension and this couple's attraction drove this story. This work was steered by love and selfless sacrifices for love, even while Beckett and Greer fought and feared receiving it from each other for a good portion of this book. Beckett's five-year-old daughter Olivia was portrayed beautifully and sensitively by this author and was age appropriate in her behavior. The commitment and love between Beckett and his daughter was heartfelt, making it easy to see how Greer fell in love with this pair. The family connections in this work were genuine and very well done adding a nice layer to this story.
Karla Sorensen's has the uncanny ability to see beyond her portrayals facades exposing their pain but more importantly their potential. Insightful this author liberally uses tears and laughter to convey her characters feelings and capture her audience's interest. Readers will fall in love with Karla Sorensen's One and Only from start to finish!

You are cordially invited to my fake wedding.
Marrying Beckett Coleman is the best idea I've had in years. I can grant my sick dad’s wish to walk one of his daughters down the aisle, and Beckett has my help solving a custody situation with his daughter. Our plan is to spend a year together, then part ways. Easy, especially since I'm not his type, and he's not mine either.
He’s too quiet and too serious. And while he’s distractingly gorgeous, he’s also my brother’s teammate. Beckett is fake husband material, not the real deal. I just have to remember that.
Until I move in with him. Get to know him. Share a bed with him. Turns out, the line between fake and real isn't just blurry, it's almost impossible to uphold when he looks at me the way he does.
This marriage is a whole lot more complicated than we bargained for. We’re threatening to destroy everything we’ve built, something neither of us can risk.
Marrying Beckett might’ve been the best idea in years. But falling in love with him would be the worst.
