Bella Matthews tests fated lovers with a challenge that would break most couple's for a touching and inspiring romance in Sweet Temptation!

While full of this author's fun friend and family interactions and antics Sweet Temptation felt a little bit rawer and somber in its backdrop. Childhood friends and crushes football star Lucky Beneventi and pastry chef Lexi Sinclair had their work cut out for them in realizing their happily ever after. This pair had divergent ideas about how to deal with their love of each other. Everyday Lexi was faced with the reality of her mortality having little room in her life for an ultimately tragic relationship. Some would think Lucky was anything but lucky in his love for Lexi but in finding the love of his life he knew that sharing any time with Lexi made him the luckiest man in the world.

Bella Matthews was especially sensitive and insightful in her portrayal of Lexi a character faced with the fragility of their life. Everyday there was a chance that it might be Lexi's last and Ms. Matthews made sure to show the support and courage involved in allowing Lexi the opportunity to live her life to the fullest without dwelling on her circumstances to the point of despair.

The beauty and frustration of Lucky and Lexi was their insistence in sacrificing their love  for each other thinking that they were protecting each other from the inevitable. When this couple finally accepted that they were happiest for any moment they could have together, for whatever time Lexi had left, readers will most certainly feel a huge mental sigh of relief. The banter and yearning between this Lucky and Lexi felt like it was on a higher level due to the intensity of their situation. A great chemistry crackled between this pair but even more so their emotional bond was the focal point of this relationship.

Bella Matthews ability to show family and friends strengths and weaknesses in good as well as trying times is exceptional. Insightful and always tempered with humor, reading this author is always a rewarding experience. Sweet Temptation had all the ingredients for a perfect romance!
